At Mint Wellbeing, we believe that embracing cutting-edge technology allows us to deliver even more precise, effective, and tailored treatments for you. Our approach combines expert clinical knowledge with the latest in Physiotherapy advancements to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Below are some of the key technologies we use to help you Get Better. Stay Better. Be Better.
Vald Force Decks
Our Vald Force Decks provide real-time, objective data to measure strength, balance, and power. This advanced technology allows us to accurately assess your functional capabilities and track your progress over time. Using data is the only true way to show results! The Force Decks can be used for the upper and lower limb.
Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing chronic conditions, or aiming to enhance your athletic performance, Vald Force Decks offer insight that ensures your rehabilitation plan is precise and individualised.
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Therapy
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) therapy is a groundbreaking technique that accelerates muscle recovery and strength gains using low loads. By restricting blood flow to the working muscles, BFR allows you to achieve the benefits of high-intensity exercise without the same level of stress on your joints and tissues. This is particularly beneficial for post-operative recovery, injury rehabilitation, or when high-resistance training isn’t possible. At Mint Wellbeing, we use BFR to optimise your recovery and get you back to doing what you love, faster.
Ultrasound for Women’s Health Physiotherapy
Ultrasound is a vital tool in our Women’s Health services, providing non-invasive and detailed imaging to support pelvic health and abdominal rehabilitation. We use ultrasound both abdominally and transperineally to assess bladder function, pelvic floor muscle activity, assess Diastasis Recti (abdominal Separation) and teach effective core muscle engagement. This technology allows us to see muscle coordination and dysfunction in real time, helping to guide and tailor your treatment plan with precision. Whether you’re dealing with prolapse, incontinence, or preparing for birth, ultrasound imaging gives you and your clinician real-time feedback to ensure your care is targeted and effective.
Shockwave Therapy for Tendon and Muscle Pain
Shockwave therapy is a powerful, non-invasive treatment we use for tendon and muscular pain conditions. Some conditions include Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, and chronic shoulder pain. By delivering high-energy sound waves to the affected area, shockwave therapy stimulates blood flow, promotes tissue regeneration, and accelerates healing. This is an excellent option for patients who have not found relief through traditional methods or who are dealing with long-standing, stubborn injuries.
EMG Bio-feedback in Women's Health
Understanding your pelvic floor, how to engage it and if you’re improving can be a real challenge. At Mint Wellbeing, we use a range of biofeedback technologies to help make pelvic floor rehabilitation more accurate, personalised and effective including: – MyoPlus EMG Biofeedback – a specialist pelvic floor feedback system that measures muscle activity and helps you see how well the pelvic floor is contracting and relaxing in real time. This can be particularly useful for pelvic floor weakness, overactivity, coordination difficulties, pelvic pain and return to exercise rehabilitation. – Real-Time Ultrasound – a non-invasive technique using ultrasound imaging to visualise the pelvic floor and deep abdominal muscles during movement and exercise. This allows us to assess how the muscles are functioning dynamically and helps improve body awareness, breathing coordination and exercise technique.
At Mint Wellbeing, our goal is to combine technology with our expertise to offer the highest standard of care, tailored to your unique needs. With these advanced tools at our disposal, we ensure your rehabilitation is not only effective but also efficient, allowing you to achieve the best possible outcomes.
What our patients say
I saw Amy for physio after shoulder surgery, and she was amazing! Amy tailored each session and genuinely cared throughout my recovery. The clinic itself was excellent. It was really comfortable, well-equipped, and welcoming.
Jay Barclay
This place is excellent! I’ve been doing post natal rehab and return to strength here for last 4 months and it’s just a fantastic place. Candice who trains the mum and baby restore classes is excellent!
